Lead Facility Designer

During Tyler’s time in the Oil and Gas industry he acted as the Lead Facility Designer on over 30 well pad facilities in North Dakota. The goal? Reduce the amount of field welds due to high costs and unfavorable weather conditions. Tyler and his team managed to reduce the amount of field welds from 70% to around 15% utilizing BIM software and streamlined drawing production. The facilities were essentially ‘bolt-up’ by the time they arrived on site.

At its peak, Tyler and his team were producing 3 sites per month with each package averaging over 100 sheets. Tyler was continually a part of an integrated team that designed, fabricated and constructed the facilities.
